Welsh Summer Training Academy

Join us for training events in the lead up to Labour Party Annual Conference.

You can book onto individual courses for just £5, or the full training course for £25.

CLPs can also book a space for four members on the full training course for a discounted £75.

Introduction to Campaigning Details £5.00
Wednesday 16th May, 6pm-8pm (Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno LL30 1BB)

The first part of the Summer Training Academy, this session will be an introduction to a number of elements of Welsh Labour campaigning, including:

- Data collection
- Contact Creator
- The Doorstep App
- Mobilisation

Building Your Team Details £5.00
Wednesday 30th May, 6pm-8pm (Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno LL30 1BB)

As part of the Welsh Labour Summer Training Academy, this session will be to help CLPs and members develop effective ways to mobilise members and increase the capacity of local parties, including:

- Organise: the new online platform to help you mobilise your CLP
- Training and developing your members
- Delegating responsibility

Print and Messaging Details £5.00
Wednesday 13th June, 6pm-8pm (Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno LL30 1BB)

As part of the Welsh Labour Summer Training Academy, this session will be to help CLPs and members develop local messaging and produce effective print materials, including:

- Forming your local message
- Taking local political opportunities
- Crafting copy for your print
- Campaign Creator: creating your print materials using the party system

Community Organising Details £5.00
Saturday 7th July, 11am-1pm (Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno LL30 1BB)

As part of the Welsh Labour Summer Training Academy, this session will be to help CLPs and members build local campaigns alongside communities, including:

- Community mapping
- Building effective relationships across the community
- Finding issues and thinking of solutions
- Campaign strategy

Digital and Social Media Details £5.00
Wednesday 22nd August, 6pm-8pm (Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno LL30 1BB)

As part of the Welsh Labour Summer Training Academy, this session will be to help CLPs and members use digital media to help build and promote campaigning work, including:

- Photos and Videos best practice
- Social media best practice
- Mass-deployment emails
- Utilising your website
- SEO and Structured Data
